Abstract GAPBNF , genotype - phenotype genetic algorithms , is presented here as a technique for the creation of computer program . This technique uses new representation to generate the program which can be executed using any language . In this case the chromosome ( genotype ) is a list of integer representing production in syntax , which is used to generate the program ( phenotype ) . In order to explain the effectiveness of using this type of representation , GAPBNF is implemented for solving symbolic regression problem . The results show that GAPBNF is an efficient and promising method that can be used to generate any program in any language .
